Nature Reviews, Nature Publishing Group’s noted life science series, has expanded to include eight clinical titles that publish high-quality, authoritative review and opinion articles. We have a vacancy for a full-time Associate Editor on Nature Reviews Clinical Oncology.
The Associate Editor’s role is busy and varied, and the successful applicants will be expected to fulfil all the requirements of the job. You will work closely with the small, in-house journal team and liaise with the internationally renowned Editor-in-Chief, Advisory Board and contributors. Key tasks include commissioning, editing and writing material for all editorial sections. Preference will be given to candidates with the following key attributes: a relevant biological science degree to PhD level (preferably in an area relevant to the journal subject matter); a demonstrable ability to edit text for sense, clarity, factual correctness and language; experience that indicates a proactive approach and excellent organisational skills; and knowledge of all stages of the publication process. Training will be provided.
Nature Reviews Clinical Oncology covers the pathology, diagnosis, treatment prevention, and palliative care of all types of human malignant disease. Basic, translational and clinical aspects of the oncology disease process are considered, including discussions of genetics, biomarkers, epidemiology, screening, imaging, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, surgery and drug treatments.
