Macmillan Education, part of the Macmillan Publishing Group is looking to recruit a Commissioning Editor to work on our Adult ELT list.  The role will involve identifying and nurturing new authorial talent, briefing authors and developing materials.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the “hands on” development of key titles in progress as well as commissioning new materials.  Working as part of a close knit team you will manage in-house and freelance Editors and Managing Editors.

The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate a track record of successful product development.  Digital expertise and some commissioning experience are highly desirable. This position would ideally suit someone with excellent interpersonal and communication skills who has the ability to manage a variety of tasks simultaneously whilst working to deadlines and under pressure.
