Macmillan Limited Board Responsibilities
With immediate effect Steven Inchcoombe takes over responsibility for the following areas:
Macmillan Education
Following Chris Harrison's retirement at the end of this year, Steven will become Managing Director of Macmillan Oxford, in which role he will
work closely with Chris Paterson as Chairman to strengthen Macmillan's Oxford based publishing and publishing services capabilities within our
overall policy of building strong local curriculum and ELT publishing markets worldwide. He will be based at Macmillan Oxford.
Macmillan English Campus
Steven has taken over the Chairmanship of the Macmillan English Campus (MEC) Supervisory Board and Emma Shercliff, the Managing Director of
MEC now reports to Steven.
Macmillan Production (Asia) Ltd
In anticipation of Mike Barnard's impending retirement, responsibility for Macmillan Production (Asia) Ltd (MPAL) has passed to Steven.
Colin Bond, the Managing Director of MPAL now reports to Steven and he will join the board of Macmillan Publishers China Ltd.
Macmillan India Limited
Steven is taking over as a board director of Macmillan India Limited (MIL) from Mike Barnard.
Steven says: 'I have enjoyed meeting everyone and getting to know Macmillan over the last 2 months. Now I am looking forward to working
closely with these businesses and helping them develop to become even more successful in the future. Mike has done an outstanding job helping
to turn MIL and MPAL into market leading, strong and dynamic businesses. Looking forward I aim to build on what Mike has already achieved and
I am excited by the opportunity of working with Chris Paterson on developing the Education business.'
Steven was most recently UK Publisher at The Financial Times. Previously he held board positions at The Financial Times Group, FT.com,
Interactive Data and Extel Financial.
