Dissect Medicine launches multi-language versions for the global medical community
Collaborative medical news website now available in Spanish and German editions
London and Philadelphia, February 21, 2007 -- Macmillan Medical Communications (MMC) is pleased to announce the launch of two new language
editions of its groundbreaking collaborative medical news website, Dissect Medicine. In addition to the original English language
version of the website, new versions in German and Spanish have now also been created and added to the Dissect Medicine platform.
Dissect Medicine (www.dissectmedicine.com) is a collaborative medical news website which indexes and ranks international medical news.
It spans general interest articles to basic research and is the first of its kind. The original English language version of the website
was launched in June 2006, since which time the number of articles uploaded on Dissect Medicine has grown into the thousands, with hundreds
of registrants worldwide sharing and rating stories on a regular basis.
Dissect Medicine users submit news items for review with tags and keywords. These are then ranked by the user group. This ensures that
only the most relevant and influential articles are displayed as headline stories. Users need to register online in order to participate,
but thereafter the service is completely free. The service now includes close to 10,000 tags, and the current most-used tags include
‘avian flu’, ‘breast cancer’ and ‘myocardial infarction’.
