Margaret Halton appointed Rights Director for the adult division of Pan Macmillan
Margaret Halton is to join Pan Macmillan as Rights Director for its adult publishing division. Margaret brings to the company an enormous
breadth and depth of publishing experience. She joined ICM in 2000 as Foreign Rights Director in the New York office, and then relocated
to London to co-run the newly formed London office with Kate Jones from 2003 until the merger with Curtis Brown. Before that, she was
Rights Director at Fourth Estate and she previously held posts at Granta, Faber and Harper Collins.
Margaret commented: “I am delighted to be joining a trade publisher I have long admired, and to be coming to work with a great Rights
Department.”
Annette Thomas, Chief Executive of Macmillan Ltd, added: “David North and I are delighted that he was able to finalise this appointment.

Margaret joins the company on 1st May 2008 and will be based in the London offices of Pan Macmillan.
